Krull (1983)

Don't know why but I've been in this crazy mood to watch these cheezy early 80's SciFi flix lately so I pulled out the VHS of Krull (1983). Why? Who knows's maybe it's the memories of late night HBO or Cinemax viewings.

Happy Birthday John Carpenter. I definitely have spent many late nights watching this classic film not only cable but VHS as well.

Rewind This!

There's a great documentary being filmed called Rewind This! The documentary is about what else? the VHS tape, it's collectors and the stories behinds peoples fascination of having them. Just like with any other collectibles the passion for the VHS runs deep driving people to pay big bucks on the market for rare, obscure and scarce titles. But it's not just about the rare but also about the nostalgia the goes along with it.

They've started a Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for the completion of this project.

Visions of 42nd Street

Not really late night TV although some of these films were shown on television but what better way to see them than on 42nd Street in Times Square?! New trailer for an upcoming documentary on the history of 42nd Street theaters.

Just finished watching the documentary American Grindhouse on the late night side of things and as I'm trying to figure out what to watch next The Doll Squad mysteriously falls from the shelf. I guess I'll be watching that before I doze off.
